| Introduction
The Denison mathematics department offers a variety of courses at both the junior and senior levels. In grades 9 and 10, students may enrol in Locally Developed, Applied, and Academic courses. In grades 11 and 12, students may enrol in Workplace, College, University/College, and University courses.
Grade 9 EQAO testing occurs at the end of the grade 9 academic and applied programs. Results from this assessment will account for 5% of each student's final mathematics mark.
Denison math students participate in math contests throughout the school year to challenge their problem solving abilities. The Canadian National Math League contest is written six times a year and the Waterloo contests (Pascal, Cayley, Fermat, and Euclid) are grade specific and are written once a year in the second semester of the school year. |
